A very comprehensive directory with descriptions of all of the towns and villages in Shropshire.

In the County directory you will find the places listed alphabetically with lists of residents and commercial traders. The Court directory has an alphabetical list of private individuals and there is also a classified trades directory which lists the types of occupations and the people who performed them.

The book was kindly loaned to the Archive CD Books Project by The Family Record Centre (The PRO) in London as part of our ongoing project to digitise *all* of their directories in order to make them more accessible and ease the pressure on these old and rare books.
