1643, Three hedgehogs for the Church supplied at a cost of 1/-, also 1lb of candles. 4d.

1839, June 11. Earthquake shock felt in town.

Earthquakes were surprisingly common in Rochdale, another was documented on October 6 1863!

The book has a good index with many local people's names mentioned and, most unusually, a list of obituaries of local people in the latter part of the 1800's
