A huge 953 page directory of Staffordshire. The first section lists every place in alphabetical order with an extremely detailed description of its history, character and local facilities such as its churches and schools. Each place has at the very least a commercial directory which lists peoples' names along with their occupations and most places have a list of private residents as well.
There then follows a directory of private residents, alphabetically listed by surname with their addresses, and a massive trade directory which lists all types of occupations and the people who undertook them.
Also included is a map of the county in 1912.
