Content Description: The story of this New York regiment which remained loyal to the British crown during the war of American Independence, and so had to retreat to British Canada when the US claimed victory. The regiment remained active and, in conjunction to Indian bands, took part in many actions both defensive and offensive (i.e., into US territory.) The regiment was eventually established at Fort Cataraqui (now Kingston,) in the general area of which the personnel were resettled. Lists Officers and final distribution of men & families.
