Kelly's Directory of Staffordshire 1880

Cat No.:   GB0641:

A fabulously comprehensive directory of the county of Staffordshire. Each town, village and hamlet is described in great detail, with information about the schools, churches and hospitals etc in each place. Each place has a commercial directory, which lists people and their occupations, and the vast majority also have a list of private residents with their addresses.

There is also a Court Directory (50 pages) with an alphabetical list of the names and addresses of private residents plus a Trades Directory (550 pages) with lists of occupations, not just 'professional' people but farmers, shopkeepers, painters and bricklayers as well.

This book was kindly loaned to the Archive CD Books Project by Sandwell Record Office.
