Parts 1 and 2. Published by the Surtees Society, 1894-5. Taken from documents compiled for the Dissolution of the Chantries in 1546 and 1548, this transcription gives details of all the chantries throughout the length and breadth of Yorkshire, both inside churches and on the highways etc.

It gives the names of founders and incumbents of each chantry, plus a survey of its lands and possessions, together with names of tenants and rents paid. Many hundreds of names of people are included, from all social classes. Complete with a comprehensive index.
